The Day the Music Died

“And the three men I admire the most, The Father, Son and Holy Ghost. They caught the last train for the coast, the day the music died.”

~Don McLean~

American Pie-1971

You might not know this but the classic “American Pie” is based on the infamous 1959 plane crash that claimed the lives of Ritchie Valens, Buddy Holly and J.P. Richardson… “the day the music died.”

In 2015, songwriter, Don McLean said: “Basically, in ‘American Pie’ things are headed in the wrong direction. It is becoming less ideal, less idyllic.  There is no poetry and very little romance in anything anymore, so it is really like the last phase of ‘American Pie.'”

Ironically (or NOT) McLean’s prophetic lyrics from 1971 seem more accurate in 2020.

Example: Today’s Orwellian style of government overreach – that’s rapidly gaining momentum – has all but eliminated poetry or romance as we once knew it.

So, what’s this have to do with the markets?

Glad you asked.

The Loss of Confidence in Government is what precedes economic calamity.  It forces the Public sector into seeking refuge in the Private sector.

Huh?

Translation:  Money runs away from the greed/control of government into private assets, i.e. real estate, gold, etc.

Historically it’s how all empires collapse…And this time it WON’T be different.

However, major events like these often take much longer to materialize than you think.  And they also represent opportunities of a lifetime for those with “ears to hear.”

In other words, don’t be fooled by the presstitutes who want you to live in fear.  They’re being handsomely paid to keep you in a Constant State of Agitation.

Why?

They want you to miss out on the trade of the century.

We, on the other hand, want you prosper AND thrive in the Turbulent Times we’re living in.

It’s so simple, you’ll need someone to help you misunderstand it.

Cause I saw you dancin’ in the gym

You both kicked off your shoes

AND I DIG THOSE RHYTHM AND BLUES
