Saturday Rant…The War is Over

Before you start wondering about which War is Over, I’m certainly not referring to Ukraine or Israel.

But since Christmas is only two days away, we want to share with you a rant by a good friend (we call him Holy Rolling Rob) about the real Christmas Story.

And how it signified that the War is Over between God and mankind.

So, take it away HRR.

James, let me start with a very famous scripture that most people (especially Christians) have misunderstood for the last 2,000 years.

¹¹ For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

¹² And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

¹³ And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

¹⁴ Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

~ Luke 2: 11-14 ~

King James Version

Notice that verse 14 (above) says “…and on earth peace, good will toward men.”

This does NOT say “good will among men.”

Because the peace that the heavenly host was singing about was not peace among mankind, but a peace between God and mankind.

You see, Jesus came to bare our punishment so that we could be reconciled to God. 

And this peace came through the blood sacrifice Jesus made on the cross (Colossians 1:20).

As a result, God is not angry anymore.

The War is Over between God and man

And because that war is over All of our sins–past-, present-, and future-tense (Hebrews 10:10, 14; and 12:23)–was placed on Jesus.

So, now God can justly love us.

He isn’t mad; all His judgment against our sin was placed on Jesus (John 12:32).

That was the purpose if Him coming to the earth.

To further prove my point about “good will toward men” look around…and you’ll see there certainly has NOT been a lot of good will among men.

But through the sacrifice of Jesus God declared The War is Over between Him and us.

I hope your readers grab hold of this truth.
