"It's Not Just About Finance"

20th Century Famines Caused by Mankind/Socialism

The following statement will surely rattle someone’s cage:

Socialism/Communism NEVER works.   And historically has caused famines resulting in the death of millions.

The most recent example is Venezuela.

How does a country with the largest oil reserves in the world end up with a population that’s literally starving?

(*Note to Bernie Sanders…How’s Venezuela’s economic model you praised during your presidential campaign working out so far?)

Sorry.  I couldn’t help myself.

In addition to being devastating, famines have a huge economic impact on the global economy.  They’re similar to war in that a small group of people profit immensely from them.

But let’s look at some of the root causes.

It all starts when (Socialist/Communist) leadership takes control away from the individual and hands it to the Bureaucrats in a Central Office.

Stalin forced his “Collectivism Program” causing over 5 Million Russians to starve to death.  He then took food from the Ukrainians (for Russia) resulting in another 8 Million Ukrainian deaths.

Mao Zedong’s “Great Leap Forward” should be called Great Leap to Famine.

In his effort to build China’s Communist Party the famine killed between 25-45 Million people.

Mao’s quoted as saying, in relation to the Great Leap Forward, “When there is not enough to eat, people starve to death. It is better to let half of the people die so that the other half can eat their fill.”

Be sure to remember that when you hear someone praise the virtues of Socialism (which is the pre-cursor to Communism)

In the meantime, you should start to look at commodity stocks in the food and agriculture sector.

The freezing winter we’re having will cause crop failure…resulting in food shortages…causing higher prices.

Protect yourself and start connecting the dots (HERE).
