Financials Matter

"It's Not Just About Finance"

If You Don’t Work You Shouldn’t Eat

Before you start criticizing the content here, keep in mind that I’m paraphrasing Scripture:

For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”

2 Thessalonians 3:10

(NIV)

I bring this up to illustrate a point about how our welfare system today has totally ignored this.

There is no doubt that there are exceptions to this with people who are severely handicapped.

However, the vast majority of welfare recipients are dependent on your tax dollars to live a lifestyle that’s far superior than most of the world.

They’ve learned that all they have to do is vote for the candidate promising the most freebies and they’ll be set.

Is it any wonder why we have millions of people clamoring to get to America?

Sorry folks, but this is just plain wrong.

One of the main reasons America became so great is that, unlike any nation in the world, immigrants coming here knew they could work hard and have the opportunity to become rich.  They didn’t come here expecting handouts.

What went wrong?

The road to perdition here has its roots in Roosevelt’s New Deal.

The New Deal was a series of programs, public work projects, financial reforms and regulations enacted in the United States 1933-36, in response to the Great Depression.

Unfortunately, it transformed morphed into Democrat president Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society in 1964-65.

The main goal was the total elimination of poverty and racial injustice.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Or, maybe by design, it’s turned out exactly how the boyz in the “Club” wanted it.

Johnson was a fool and a tool used by TPTB.  His Great Society has transformed the once respected Democrat party into the Socialist/Communist party it’s become today.

What’s gonna happen when the next “NEW DEAL/GREAT SOCIETY” is introduced?
