"It's Not Just About Finance"

China’s Censorship of the NBA is a Dire Warning

Am I the only one who still wonders why the NBA’s recent verbal war with China – over a tweet about Hong Kong – has seemingly become the latest victim of mass censorship?

Case in point:  The sanctimonious hypocrites of the NBA – including many of the players, owners, coaches, etc., – who’ve been the most obnoxious critics of American policies, have suddenly shut their mouths.

In fact, their silence is deafening.

These alleged social-justice Warriors (pun intended) who, in the past, have been quick to share their “informed opinion” to all of us miraculously now say they have no opinion or are uninformed on the China controversy.

C’MON, MAN!

I don’t believe there has ever been a more obvious case of censorship in professional sports than what we’re currently witnessing.

Why have all these loud-mouths been silenced?

One word.

Money.

China’s President Xi has quietly flexed his multi-billion-dollar muscle over the NBA exposing them as quivering servants to their Asian overlords.

And any resistance to China’s policy will be met with swift and violent repercussion.

And if you don’t think this has anything to do with all the tariff wars between the US and China, think again.

This is not just a sign of what’s coming down the road.  It’s also another piece of the global civil unrest puzzle that eventually morphs into the increase loss of confidence in government.

2020, The Year of Chaos, is closing in fast.

Unfortunately, most people will mis-interpret how our stock and bond markets will respond from fear of the unknown.

Learn how to Connect the Dots and recognize opportunity from this madness in our “…In Plain English” newsletter (HERE).

And don’t worry about the highly overpaid entertainers from the NBA.  After the pay cuts, they’ll still be millionaires.
